<br />
Well, as I have a tenuous grip at the moment, I thought I’d make the most of it and get a post up quick! This week at Fab ‘n’ Funky, the challenge is sunshine colours, Red, Orange, Yellow and this played to my love of getting inky and playing with my favourite Spectrum Noir, Harmony Water Reactive inks, I thought I’d also combine it with my love of fairies as well!<br />

That seems like an absolute lifetime ago now. So much has happened and yet I’ve not been anywhere (and pretty much neither has anyone else).<br />
<br />
Anyway, life goes on, albeit restricted, and it’s now time for another <a href="https://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/">Fab ‘n’ Funky</a> Challenge, this week its “anything but a card”, I really had to think about this and then suddenly realised (doh!) that I had been making masks recently and so I have used this as my entry this week. It was quite lovely to return to one of my older crafts, I haven’t done much by way of sewing in recent years as card making has rather taken over, but its amazing how quickly these things come flooding back to you!<br />
<br />
I found several very useful tutorials on YouTube and settled on one that seemed to work for me - nearly had to change my mind as I couldn’t find my elastic initially, it was hiding in plain sight! I managed to get 4 masks from one fat quarter and will definitely be making more of these for trips to the supermarket.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My commute to the office involves going from the front room to the dining room, my daughter is on lock down due to underlying health conditions TV has got depressing and as for the news, well, positively apocalyptic!<br />
<br />
Still, we are all well and the earth is still turning, we have a roof over our head, food in the cupboard and money in the bank, so I mustn’t complain (heck, I’m British, it’s what we’re good at!).<br />
<br />
Anyway, I hope you are all staying safe and finding plenty of time for crafting, this weeks challenge over at Fab ‘n’ Funky is masculine - now this is a real challenge as so many of us find it difficult to make cards for men. For this card, I’ve used one of my favourite Sara Signature Collections “Nautical”, together with one of the lovely new Gatefold sentiment dies.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This just screamed to me to get out my gorgeous. 8x8 background stamp from Crafters Companion. It allowed me to just stamp the background in black and white and then stamp the individual flowers and colour these in. I love the monochrome look, it reminds me of the old black and white and technicolour films like the Wizard of Oz and A Matter of Life and Death.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCjfvRrv0rJH6AOBRgZS5jj9S0ctC7BhyxR6ufToKJ5PfTlqpm1ajPHdlfkSZXpJbP6IRzA_iZmuj4rL1HnfAF-UghEDJl-o6_2I81OpKeno70lIg_6N10jW9YD7iL3G_xth8RNUL3qJ-C/s1600/1FBD544B-99D5-4F68-B20E-A9BE5812C545.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1591" data-original-width="1600" height="636" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCjfvRrv0rJH6AOBRgZS5jj9S0ctC7BhyxR6ufToKJ5PfTlqpm1ajPHdlfkSZXpJbP6IRzA_iZmuj4rL1HnfAF-UghEDJl-o6_2I81OpKeno70lIg_6N10jW9YD7iL3G_xth8RNUL3qJ-C/s640/1FBD544B-99D5-4F68-B20E-A9BE5812C545.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here’s a depressing thought for you - this time in 10 months, Christmas will be over again!<br />
<br />
Sorry, on a much more positive note, it’s time for another Fab ‘n’ Funky challenge and this weeks theme is hand made or die cut flowers, so for my card I’ve used the gorgeous layering stamps and dies from Crafters Companion to create some gorgeous fuchsias.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Simple but fun, I’m a huge fan of fuchsias, must play with these in other colours (and play with the other flowers available as I have them all!).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
After nearly 28 years married myself, I am somewhat cynical of Valentine’s Day as I’m a firm believer that love is for every day of the year and is shown in a million tiny ways that have nothing to do with spending a few quid on February 14th.<br />
<br />
Anyway, that all said, I’m still capable of showing my affection in the form of a card and here’s my make for the theme this week.<br />
<br />

What I should have done, should have but didn’t! Was to schedule a post, it’s not like I don’t know how to, just kept meaning to and didn’t do it.<br />
<br />
So there I was in the shower about half an hour ago (I know, too much info!) and I suddenly realised that I hadn’t posted my card for the challenge this week. My massive apologies to my teamies and also to all you crafters out there - I’M SO SORRY!!<br />
<br />
Anyway, the card was ready, so here it is for challenge number 466 and it’s Christmas - YAY!!!!!!<br />

Which seems to be about my limit so far.<br />
<br />
This week the optional challenge is Pink and White, which, initially I thought was going to be too tough for me, but then on one of my many wanderings on Pinterest, I came across a beautiful one layer card by a lady called Deanna, it was just beautiful! (<a href="http://klosetkreations.blogspot.com/2012/11/dynamic-duos-30.html">Link Here</a>) and I thought I might be able to use this as the basis for my card, so here it is:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR4sZR311yeuipoFZNNnO7LVY0XLUCwAfrWLPBPbI8HwgOGUyItQV49JCGR39OqF_zdLP8vh79Oaj03S2kthxJUStfceD_aND6dBUy3yu6CfoLWTii5j3txcVwDQAm9AJHU7dwhwP7kZaT/s1600/D4D4A8DD-6D6B-48FC-9C3F-A375015C8D21.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1276" data-original-width="1600" height="510" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR4sZR311yeuipoFZNNnO7LVY0XLUCwAfrWLPBPbI8HwgOGUyItQV49JCGR39OqF_zdLP8vh79Oaj03S2kthxJUStfceD_aND6dBUy3yu6CfoLWTii5j3txcVwDQAm9AJHU7dwhwP7kZaT/s640/D4D4A8DD-6D6B-48FC-9C3F-A375015C8D21.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It’s incredible to believe that it was created with snowflake stamps from a couple of older Sara Signature Collections (Winter Wonderland Snow Season stamps and Scandinavian Christmas Flakes & Swirls stamps), together with a sentiment from Crafters Companion Winter Wishes stamp set and three colours of Quick Dry Ink, oh, and a few gems!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I’m so happy with this card, I’m already planning on re-creating it with different colours and card shapes, this will get me on the road to actually prepared for Christmas this year (that would be a first!).</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, just had to share this one with you as I’m really pleased with it, and that doesn’t happen often either!</div>

I know I’m very late with the New Year wishes, but I’ve just realised that I’ve not posted on here since the celebrations, so late as they are, Happy New Year anyway!<br />
<br />
This weeks challenge over at Fab ‘n’ Funky is Angels, and whilst I’m taking part in the Make one Christmas Card Every Week during 2020, I thought I should at least try to make something non-Christmas, and I remembered a lovely stamp I have from Crafters Companion with the sentiment “Feathers appear when angels are near” and decided to go with this. I also found some lovely feathers stamps and a die too! (okay, I had to spend about an hour hunting for them, but I did find them!) and this card came into being.<br />
<br />
I love the simplicity and, it’s completely un-Christmassy!<br />

So badly I missed that it was Wednesday AGAIN!!!!<br />
<br />
Think I may have to set an alarm each week to remind me that I’m supposed to be taking part in the Fab ‘n’ Funky challenges, anyway, better late than never I suppose. Challenge number 462 is sequins and for this card I have used the Sara Signature Enchanted Christmas collection, highlighted with some sequins for extra sparkle ‘cos you can never have too much sparkle at Christmas!<br />

At the beginning of the week I was actually organised and had managed to create my make for Fab 'n' Funky #460, but then today, I completely forgot that I was supposed to post it and have only just remembered now.<br />
<br />
Sorry for being late folks, hopefully you will forgive me when you see my make. This is for a work colleague who likes to keep receipts and little keepsakes from wherever she has been so that she can keep the memories.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I created the box using the Crafters Companion six cupcake gable box template, I've then used turquoise cardstock and papers from the Vintage Lace collection. The flowers were created using the fabulous flower forming foam and dies, which I learned to use at Craftaganza this year. The recipient was absolutely thrilled with her box, and I suppose that's always the best bit, when someone else likes what you've done.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdDwSyCIENjeYEsWLiYXpd1hPm_YfdMDA7WZ1yfXlhLoo2EsAIfJ4ex5vVNzFkJ4VVQ1sRgIdHjE2XYGTeTP0SHL7dBDMQ_ILF6wsgCrZdwtPqUluDGhbFQYvNeVyayjY27g1WLxzRMe81/s1600/IMG_0127-%2528W%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1501" data-original-width="1600" height="600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdDwSyCIENjeYEsWLiYXpd1hPm_YfdMDA7WZ1yfXlhLoo2EsAIfJ4ex5vVNzFkJ4VVQ1sRgIdHjE2XYGTeTP0SHL7dBDMQ_ILF6wsgCrZdwtPqUluDGhbFQYvNeVyayjY27g1WLxzRMe81/s640/IMG_0127-%2528W%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I really like this card as it's so simple I can re-create it a lot of times & play catch up on the Christmas makes. I didn't have any buttons the right colour but I did have some small wooden ones so I just coloured this with some acrylic paint. The holly leaves were a freebie die with the latest Crafters Inspiration magazine and the sentiment is also a Die'sire die. I added some scribbled lines with fine liner pen and all done! Taking simple to a whole new level!<br />
<br />
Well, I hope you are all more organised for Christmas than me, and I look forward to seeing your button makes!<br />

<br />
For my card, I've used coloured panels on a monochrome background and I couldn't resist the opportunity to get another Christmas card made!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD1d6-xS7ynLMsphuxRHWqa66xCYr4GDF4Hof3QJYR1TkKZOCybmV9GS3h5xh7Yqo2vCMZO6UPsS34uypMEPVQkWw7YPu207m3ByehTfTmpoKPXDomoxxvF2-2keYrYSeTworQlPsqDLVo/s1600/IMG_0121-%2528W%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1165" data-original-width="1600" height="464" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD1d6-xS7ynLMsphuxRHWqa66xCYr4GDF4Hof3QJYR1TkKZOCybmV9GS3h5xh7Yqo2vCMZO6UPsS34uypMEPVQkWw7YPu207m3ByehTfTmpoKPXDomoxxvF2-2keYrYSeTworQlPsqDLVo/s640/IMG_0121-%2528W%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love these background layer stamps from Crafters Companion, they create cards so easily, and using a couple of bauble dies on a fully coloured panel looks really effective, I inked the edges of the baubles with Gold Midas Metallic ink and raised them on foam pads. The side panels are again Crafters Companion from the Poinsettia Perfection collection.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well, I look forward to seeing what everyone has made this week and see your interpretation on Paper Piecing!</div>

It also gave me a chance to finally use one of my birthday presents (thank you so much Susan!).<br />
<br />
I have used one of the cut n emboss dies from Crafters Companion for a quite traditional card, which you can knock up in no time, and I have to say at Christmas, when you discover you've got more relatives than cards made (or is that just me?), you really need this!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik3a6iP5E0zizXZf6-uaXcQxrX67vskFWxHjdBs6g9sBwoHcd-UXMrFh-nl2Y4CcY5WbV6Sw2lu9bbgdAsV8p1nZzJGI2wvsPm_YL88H51s5YFMr_mvBvBfN9ClPmCzZ7q1yQLO11W1jHE/s1600/IMG_0114-%2528W%2529.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1204" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik3a6iP5E0zizXZf6-uaXcQxrX67vskFWxHjdBs6g9sBwoHcd-UXMrFh-nl2Y4CcY5WbV6Sw2lu9bbgdAsV8p1nZzJGI2wvsPm_YL88H51s5YFMr_mvBvBfN9ClPmCzZ7q1yQLO11W1jHE/s640/IMG_0114-%2528W%2529.HEIC" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I cut & embossed onto Centura Pearl Hint of Gold, then used some gilding wax to highlight the swirls round the outside, mounted this piece on foam pads onto a slightly larger piece of Centura Pearl Gold, then onto a base card, bit of ribbon and a sentiment layered up and you're done.<br />
<br />
Well, hopefully you will be able to join us this week, I know so many of you are full on into your Christmas crafting now (only 8 weeks to go!).<br />

<br />
I was really happy with this theme as I have some lovely dies & papers from Sara's Signature Rustic Wedding collection, and I also have just taken possession of some of the new Vintage Lace collection as well - Happy days!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This card is quite simple, but then when it comes to Wedding cards I think that is probably best - this edger die is just fabulous, though I have to admit it did take a few passes through the machine to get all of the pieces to cut. I resorted to my favourite torn roses, these are so easy to make but look just perfect for this. Behind the roses, you can see swirls and leaves from the new Vintage Lace, which seemed to be just perfect for this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, hope you like this and will join us at Fab 'n' Funky!</div>

I can't believe that I missed it, especially as it was a Halloween theme (I had some lovely dies I could have used!), anyway, I'm so sorry to all and so to make up for it, I'm taking part in my down week and will also take part next week (providing there are no more brain farts!).<br />
<br />
Anyway, this weeks theme is 'Feature a Creature', I have a lovely stamp from Visible Image (love their work) of a Seahorse, which I wanted to play with and here's what I've come up with. The background is made using my favourite smooshing & layering technique with distress oxides. I've also used one of the accessory stamps to create bubbly swirls and added Nuvo drops as well.<br />
<br />
The sentiment is also one of Visible Image's which was stamped in versamark and embossed with black embossing powder.<br />

We are starting our time back with Challenge #450, which, with it being 25th of the month, is Christmas themed.<br />

Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I really don't need more than a tiny twinkle of an excuse to break into carols and wrap tinsel round like its going out of fashion (please don't tell me it has, I won't accept that sort of negativity!).<br />
<br />
So for my card today, I have picked one of my favourites from the recent Sara Signature Range launch, which was Enchanted Christmas, I so love those fairies! This card is really simple to make too - I just stamped the scene at the bottom and coloured in any missing bits using a black marker. Used one of the papers from the 6x6 pad on the inside of the card and stamped a sentiment in place, die cut an aperture in the front, which I then backed with acetate and framed with a bit of silver glitter card. Die cut a fairy from black glitter, perching her neatly on the tree stump (xyron sticker maker is great for this) and then added a few stars, which look like she is blowing them across the sky.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today I'm sharing one of my makes for the Enchanted Christmas range, which was launched recently. These fairies are more magical as they are floating on an acetate panel. These fairies are so much fun and given the glitter and sparkle of Christmas is just perfect!</div>

Well, today's the day these fabulous new Pop up Word Dies launch on Create and Craft and I hope you've managed to clear time in your day (or just ordered them and set the video [how old am I!!!!] to record).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's another of my samples for the launch using 'Special Friend' this time.</div>

Well, it's been ages since I came on and let you know what I'm up to, sorry about that, it's so easy to keep ploughing into life head first and not take a look up to see what's going on. But I'm here now and I'm so lucky to have worked on some gorgeous new dies coming up on Create and Craft by Crafters Companion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These are new Pop up Word dies, that allow you to have an incredibly large statement on the inside of your card and really make sure that most of the hard work is done for you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you can see, this one is the 'Thank You' sentiment, and will be so useful as we really need to be saying this phrase as often as possible. I used the Sara Signature Shabby Chic collection for the papers and dies on this one and I cut the Thank You out of Centura Pearl Trends for the additional coloured layer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Well, it's Wednesday again, and I'm such a divvy, I thought it was still Tuesday and so this post is ultra late - so sorry, life is a bit of a whirlwind at the moment and I hardly get time to draw breath, let alone do crafty stuff.<br />
<br />
This card actually started life some time ago when I bought the background layering stamps from Crafters Companion, together with the Harmony Quick Dry inks - I have to say, I absolutely love these, they make amazingly quick cards (just what you need when you're already late to the party!). The only reason this card took any time to make was because I put Nuvo drops on it and they needed time to dry before I finished everything off, I also used some really sparkly gems in the centre of a few flowers but for some reason this has not shown up particularly well on the photo.<br />
<br />

With 4th July only tomorrow we have an American theme with Stars and/or Stripes.<br />
<br />
I decided to go a little sideways on this one as I’m British and don’t celebrate Independence Day (has anyone seen that online letter from the Queen, telling the Americans that she’s revoking their independence? It’s brilliant!). Anyway, I’ve sort of used the stripes and turned them into wooden planks in the background of my card.<br />

<br />
All the items on this card are from the Sara Signature Nautical Collection, which I love just about as much as I fell in love with the Shabby Chic collection. The inks used for the images are from the Harmony Water Reactive collection and for the sentiment from the Harmony Quick Dry inks, I am super in love with this card and probably won't give it to anyone for ages!<br />
<br />
Anyway, I am so sorry that this post is late today, I did start it this morning with every intention of finishing it and publishing, but ran out of time. Hope you've all had a great day today and I look forward to seeing your makes.<br />

Well, here we are again, where does all the time go? Time for another Fabulous and Funky Challenge, and the theme for this week is Christmas - yay!!!! Always my favourite.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This weeks card is a mahoosive 7x7 card to make appropriate space for the sentiment which takes centre stage, which along with the stamped sentiment are both old Sheena ones from Crafters Companion. The background was made by smooshing a distress oxide colour onto acetate, then spritzing with water and then placing onto my card, you can lift and move around the acetate to give you some amazing effects and then dry, repeat and do the same with another colour. Flick a bit of water over the top for some faux bleaching.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Then I put a bit of distress oxide onto my craft mat, added a bit of water and picked this up with a paintbrush and flicked onto the card to give intense colour splashes, used one of the colours to ink around the edge of the card, stamped some snowflakes in silver ink (can't see these very well in the picture). Mounted onto some blue mirri and then onto a card base, adding the sentiment to the front.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The challenges keep coming over at Fab 'n' Funky and this week, the challenge is "Something New", so either, new home, new job, new baby. <br />
<br />
My daughter has asked me to make a card for a work colleague of hers who is moving to another store as the Manager and she wanted a Good Luck card for him for her and all of the team to sign, unfortunately, she was not very forthcoming with any idea of what he might like so I was left to just go with a traditional four leaf clover (or heart stamped 4 times as I did!). It's simple but I'm hoping it will serve!<br />

<br />

<br />
The Theme (if you couldn't tell from the title) for this weeks challenge is Christmas, in the hope that we will all have a few extra cards ready when the festive season looms (trust me it will be here before you know it!). Anyway, this gorgeous card (sorry, blowing my own trumpet here) was made using the build a scene dies that Crafters Companion launched last year, I really did not need to do very much here to create a fab design, the dies did most of the work with just a bit of gilding wax and white gel pen. These cards I would not say are particularly quick to make but they really do have impact with the fabulous 3D effect.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I hope you have fun creating with this weeks theme and add to your Christmas stash - I'd love to see what you come up with.<br />
