Happy Face!

Well, I really have to say my DH is such a real trouper. Instead of feeling sorry for himself at losing his job, he applied for 19 jobs in less than a week & has now been accepted to train as a bus driver! He has been an engineer since he left school but is completely fed up with dealing with idiots and lining corporate pockets with no thanks and wanted to do something different. He will earn less money, so I will have to be more creative with the tons of stash I already have, instead of constantly adding to it, but I think that will probably do me good too!!!

Anyway, now that I've found my happy face again, I've finally started crafting again, I'm working on a big project which will either turn out to be my mums birthday present (if I finish in time), or a mother's day gift. For the minute though, thought I'd show you my card for Samantha's Penny Black Challenge on the Docrafts website - this week was the letter 'C', which I have covered with Chocolate, Concertina Card and Cat. Hope you like

Sorry, it's been more than a week and I'm not posting anything I've made, as I haven't done anything. Life is not good at the moment. My husband is about to lose his job & I'm scared witless as to how we are going to keep a roof over our heads.

Please bear with me, I'm sure there is light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm too far in at the moment to see it - will post more when I have something more cheery to say.

As Promised

Well, as promised, I am trying to put something on at least once a week, and include something I have made.

This card was made for the friendship swap on the Do Crafts forum - not entirely sure I like the green for the hedgehog, but didn't have any white to colour in the bits of him that haven't got another colour, if you see what I mean!. Quite pleased with the layout though. The rub on saying was not so much 'rub on' as 'press until your fingers bleed & you've ruined the card underneath', this is the second lot of rub ons I've had & the same thing happened with the last lot - think I may stop buying them (only saving grace with this lot was they were a freebie - now I know why!).



Anyway, hope you like the card & hope my friendship swap partner likes it too.

Until I have some more thoughts or drivel to impart (depending on your views) take care for now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well, true to my word, I'm trying to remember to post on here more regularly (& that's even with a cold!).

The card below was made for a challenge on the DoCrafts website using a Penny Black rubber stamp and had to include ribbon, brads and vellum - not bad considering my current state of health.



Quite enjoyed the challenge of moving outside my normal comfort zone, but that's what I'm going to try and do more this year.

Well, short & sweet for today - have loads to do & I'm back to work tomorrow (boo!!).
