Owls birthday

Well, I haven't played too much with my new goodies from the Rachelle Anne Miller range, but last Saturday, I was determined to have a bit of a play, the result was this little beauty..

This is such an amazing stamp 'Wise Words' - I followed the colouring on the packet, next time I will probably mix it up but I really wanted to see how it turned out, think it's not too bad?

This is the first time I've made a teepee card too and I was surprised at how incredibly simple they are to make, will definitely be doing this again!

For the background papers I used the RAM Animal Adventures CD and printed coordinating papers Design 6 Colour 6 and Design 1 colour 1, the edges of these papers were inked with dusty concorde and pine needles distress inks.  All the matting and layering was done with Coredinations signature series lights, I used a glitter glue on the purple layer, just 'cos I love sparkle!  The dies I used are Leaf Swirls and Leaf 2.

For those interested in the colours I used on the stamp they are:

Branches: TN2, TN4, TN6
Owls: EB1, EB2, GB8, EB6, LG1, PP1, IG1, CT1, CR4
Leaves: LG2, LG3, LG4, DG2
Background: HB1
blender pen

Hope you like & you're all enjoying your Sunday, whatever the weather

Bear Hugs

Hello again,  this card was made some time ago, but I realised I hadn't managed to get it online (very remiss of me!).

I used a 5x5 card blank and turned it into a centre stepper card, then I used items from the HunkyDory Party Paws papercrafting kit (sorry would link to it, but I don't think it's available at the moment).  I used Coredinations Signature series light card in the background.  All in all this was a quick card to make, but I love it, must be something to do with the lovely little panda!

Well, must be off again, hope you all have a great crafty Bank Holiday Monday!

Love

Happy Anniversary

Well, it's my bestest buddie Laura's anniversary today and she's planning something very special (hush, hush).  To celebrate I thought I'd make a lovely card for her and Bobby - I had the idea for this card in my head for about a week before I got a chance to make it.  I did have to change my ideas during the course of the card as the Decorative Heart die was bigger than I thought.  Now I know that orange is not a traditional colour to put on an anniversary card, but it happens to be Bobby's favourite colour, Laura bought me the tiny butterfly punch.  The paper started out life as quite plain, but with a bit of gold and silver spray and sparkle it was suitably glittery!

The hearts were embossed from Centura Pearl card in both hint of silver and hint of gold, while the background is Centura Pearl snow white paper.  The only other bits I used were a sentiment that I've had for ages stamped in orange and then embossed with stardust embossing powder, and a couple of heart pearls from my stash, simple but I hope quite effective.

Well, hope you like & see you again soon.

Humphrey Mother's Day card

Well, this card was made for mother's day, but I didn't want to post it until well after the date so there was no chance of mum seeing it before I gave it to her - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I made this using the Year of Humphrey CD 'Fancy Frames 2', the backing papers came from the Humphreys Corner 'All Sorts' CD, coordinating papers design 8, colour 4.  I used Lace Border no.1 for the stopper and Leaf swirls for the leaf embellishment (it got the spray & sparkle treatment 'cos you gotta have a bit of sparkle.  The backing paper was printed onto Centura Pearl snow white paper and I then embossed it with the rose vine embossing folder, though this does not show up too well in the photo.

Mum loved it, I even made a box envelope for it with the ultimate pro and the envelobox board as I didn't want the flowers crushed.

Hope you all enjoy the sunshine on this lovely Monday morning (just remember, short week this week!)

Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge

Well, as well as getting to be part of the most fabulous Design Team in the world!!! I also get to be part of their Challenge Team (so glad I'm not a screaming teenager any more, everyone around me would be deaf by now!).

Anyway, they've shaken things up a bit this month and moved the Challenge over to Facebook.  The theme for this month is Floral, and you can enter HERE .

For my card I chose to use the Rachelle Anne Miller CD, as it was the first chance I'd had to play since joining my new teamies.  The card base is actually 8x8 and I used the following bits if you'd like to have a go:

Kids @ play topper companion design 5
Kids @ play coordinating paper Design 3 Colour 5
Embellishments Design 2 and Design 5
Animal Adventures Coordinating Paper Design 2 Colour 4

All of the flowers have been 'spray & sparkled' in gold.

I have to say, I looooovvvvvveeeee this CD and can see it making regular appearances.

Anyway, hope you will join in with the challenge theme this month.

Sorry

Well, sorry I've not been about much - boy is life busy at the moment!  I'm still making cards, just can't show the ones I'm working on.

Just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive & show a card I made recently

This is another of the cards I made for the recent Barkley 4DD on Create and Craft, I love the way it turned out, this was one of the new clear stamps, which I have to say stamp beautifully!  Coloured with my trustee Spectrum Noir pens (what else!).

Anyway, hope you like & hopefully I'll be back again a bit sooner!

Squeel!!!! did you see them!

Well, I can now say "as seen on TV", this little beauty popped up several times yesterday.

It's one of the samples I made for the Barkley 4 day deal which launched yesterday on Create and Craft, and I have to say as my first outing, they really did give us an amazing kit to work with, Barkley pretty much makes himself and everything coordinates so well, there is no uming and ahing over colour choices, the hard work is done and you are left with all the fun!

I used:
Centura Pearl - hint of silver
Coredinations
6x6 designer paper pad
A4 die cut decoupage sheet
A4 die cut toppers
Enchanted Spring embossing folder
Collal Glue – all 3

Hope you all have a fab day & see you soon!
