Some Advice Please

Okay, so all you wonderful people out there who have recently been visiting my blog - I would really like your advice. Below are pictures of the card keeper I've been making - I have still got to decorate the front, but would like to know if you think I should decorate the individual pages as well, you know, bucket & spade for summer months, pumpkin for October, Santa for December - you get the idea. I'm a bit torn as the idea is to keep cards in it, which will naturally hide any embellishments I decide to put on the pages, so not sure whether to forego this & just put some cards in for mum.

I look forward to your comments!

I'd keep it somple Rachel if you're going to keep cards in it, but then again, there's no harm in blinging it up a bit. LOL!
Go with your instincts... it's your book after all!! (Not much help, am I?)

You can decorate the top and may be put tabs for the pages and decorate those with the themes, so you can see them even when the book is closed, and can get to the right season quick too. The book already looks good.

i love the idea. Maybe add some ribbon to the binding.

I think it looks great. but....if it were me I would add some bling such as ribbon or a few prima flowers with brads here and there but that is just me :-)

Hope that helps.

Keep it simple but you can put some embellies around where to write the dates such as some flowers, buttons etc. I think adding some ribbon to the binding will look fab. But this is your book (well to give to your mum), what do you think she will like?

I like the tabby idea from Anna. I think adding the tabs for the pages and decorate those with the themes. This will give it a nice touch.

I would keep it fairly simple as, as you've already said, if its going to have cards stored in it, you won't see what's behind. Maybe decorate the corners or something.

It's already looking really great!

Wow that looks fantastic Rachel! :D

I'd probably skip decorating the inside. I think the paper looks gorgeous and if it's for putting cards in you wouldn't want them to catch on anything.

be careful ladies, unless you know for sure it is safe :-)

Thanks Dawn for the Heads up - I've deleted the post & link, I think it was a virus, but as I run an apple Macbook, the puter was immune!
